Dear McDonogh Network Members:
2020 has been quite an eventful year; between the national events further sparking Black Lives Matter protests, losing influential icons, the quarantine, and of course the upcoming election this fall. It is even more imperative that we remember the goal of the McDonogh Network; to create a space where multiple generations of Black Lafayette alumni and current students can connect to each other and our communities.
Despite the majority of students learning remotely, we encourage you all to make an effort through other means to stay connected. Checking in with each other with uplifting messages can go a long way to get us through these difficult times. It is even more important that we remain our authentic selves and continue to be bold when we do in teract with each other.
If you don’t already, please follow us on Facebook or join the mailing list to stay up to date with all of our activities.
As the co-chairs, we wish you all success and blessings this academic year.
Regards,
Shani Bellegarde ’08 and Ryan Benjamin ’10
