The sixth annual Our Beloved Community symposium took place on campus last fall on Nov. 4. The daylong event included 25 panel discussions presented by faculty, staff, students, and alumni. Topics included career advancement, disabilities, social justice, racial stereotypes, and more. The symposium attracted more than 150 prospective students from around the world and is named for Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s vision of a society that embraces its members through understanding and celebrating differences. The event was sponsored by Lafayette’s Offices of Admissions, Financial Aid, and Intercultural Development.
